Craig is Principal of Go Welsh, a Lancaster, PA-based design studio and will present, Unexpected: the delights of surprises and creative strategy.

Craig's work has been awarded and published widely and has been exhibited in fifteen countries. He has judged creative competitions in the United States and Canada, curated/authored 'Design:Portfolio' from Rockport Publishers, and has written several articles for leading design magazines and blogs.

AIGA Upstate New York Chapter invites the 2014 graduating graphic design students of Upstate New York to our 6th Annual Capital Region Student Portfolio Review.

THE EVENT:
The review is a chance for you to practice your interviewing skills and get valuable feedback from local professionals about your design work and résumé in a no-risk, non-competitive environment geared at preparing you for the professional portfolio presentation process.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
You will receive objective advice and thoughtful one-on-one commentary and criticism of your design work from local design educators, professional designers, and potential employers. While this event is not a job fair, some reviewers may be looking for potential employees or interns. This event is a great way to discuss your work, network and become aware of who’s who in your local design community.

WHO CAN ATTEND:
Students: The review is open to college seniors, upcoming 2014 graduates, and MFA candidates (maximum capacity of 80 students)

Reviewers: The review is open to local art, design and communication professionals and educators interested in helping our local design students prepare themselves for their professional careers.

COST:
AIGA Student Members: $10
Student non-members: $20
Free for reviewers

AIGA DesignCrawl 2013Please join us for our 2nd annual AIGA UPSTNY Design Crawl on Thursday October 24, 2013 simultaneously beginning at 6pm in Cohoes, Syracuse and Rochester.

Locally, we'll be visiting Spiral Design, the Oberlander Group, The Foundry for Art Design + Culture, and the famous Smith's Restaurant in Cohoes, NY. Come out and see where local creatives work, then join us as we tip a few and 'crawl' across town. Should be a fun night, all are welcome, you must be 21+ to drink at pubs.
