Feeling Logo Design Loved
Just got David Airey's fabulous new book delivered, Logo Design Love. Thrilled to have our "7" mark (and design direction) for "Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows" included. Trajan Trajan everywhere
Trajan, Carol Twombly's beautifully drawn 1989 typeface based upon letterforms from Rome's Trajan Column, has long been known as "The Movie Poster Font." Unfortunately, it's making the rounds as the face of choice for college and university identity redesigns as well, with less than optimal results. Here's a partial list of American schools featuring Trajan as the primary typeface in their identities. You would think these schools (some big names here) would seek to differentiate themselves, not blend in.
